was not sure how to blog this cos I know I am not the sentimental type .... at least not as far as it comes to pets but I must say that my heart's broken when the pet rabbit that I got for the kids died last Sunday (exactly 2 weeks after we got it from the pet shop).....I've had my fair share of pets & mind you, I really cried when my cat, Boxy passed away some years ago (due to old age).... but what surprised me for Toffee was that this little girl was only with us for a mere 2 weeks before she died (unfortunately gasping for air at the end after having some stomach problems for the afternoon)....sigh...didn't even have time to take a nice photo of Toffee *my US lop-earred rabbit*

After two weeks? Oh no!!! Any idea what happened to the lil bunnie? How the kids coping? :o(
checked with the shop & they said that's gastrointestinal problems (bad tummy ache) that rabbits are prone to. Nat cried like hell & Ryan being the boy just said Toffee went to rabbit heaven. Dan's quite devastated as well as he had bonded with the rabbit every night by stroking it while watching late night TV. *sigh* thinking of adopting a rabbit from spca or the rabbit association now instead of buying another.
That sounds like a good idea. A former colleague mentioned about the rabbit association and it seems they get quite a bit of abandoned bunnies from owners who find the once oh-so-cute bunnies not so cute after the novelty wears off. So that or spca definitely a good place to get bunnies that desperately need lots of cuddling!
